Abstract

MTs Hidayatul Mubtadi'in is MTs.Hidayatul Mubtadiin is an Islamic school (madrasah) equivalent to junior high school, located on Jalan Raden Wijaya 01 in the sub-district of Wonosari, Wonorejo, Pasuruan, East Java. Jigsaw is a variation or one type of cooperative lea ing model developed and tested by Elliot Arronson et al at the University of Texas, and later adapted by Salvin et al at John Hopkin University. Jurisprudence subjects are one part of the subject of Islamic Education which is directed at preparing students to recognize, understand, appreciate and practice Islamic law which then becomes the basis of their way of life through guidance, teaching, practice of use, practice and habituation. The jigsaw lea ing method is student-centered lea ing that will increase students' lea ing motivation, while the teacher as a facilitator for them. In this study the authors formulated problems, including 1) What are the steps in the Implementation of the Jigsaw Method in increasing students' lea ing motivation in Class VIII Jurisprudence in MTs Hidayatul Mubtadi'in Sudan Wonosari? 2) What are the advantages and disadvantages of the Jigsaw Method in increasing student lea ing motivation in Class VIII Jurisprudence in MTs Hidayatul Mubtadi'in Sudan Wonosari? The purpose of this study is to find out the steps, advantages and disadvantages of the Jigsaw Method This research is included in qualitative research. The point is that in qualitative research, the data collected is not in the form of numbers but the data comes from interview texts, field notes, personal documentation, memo notes and other documents related to research. Based on the data obtained, the jigsaw method is able to grow or increase student lea ing motivation. In the Fiqh lesson students' motivation increases every meeting. Starting from the increase in mastery of the material, the brilliance of discussion and asking friends or teachers and increasingly having responsibility for the tasks given by the teacher. The evaluation used in this study was to use observations from student activity, student enthusiasm, teamwork, and the last by using testulis as the final result that the researcher would get.
