Abstract

Attendance is an important part of every educational institution. Where attendance is one of the main supports that can support and motivate every activity carried out. Like attendance at Nurul Ibrohimi Tongas Vocational School which still uses the manual method (signature), this method is very vulnerable for an educational institution because the level of discipline cannot be controlled and can be misused by irresponsible people. Another disadvantage that may arise in a manual attendance system is data recapitulation which still takes a lot of time and effort. The purpose of this research is to design and build an android application that makes it easier for teachers to process attendance at school, the type of research used is qualitative and the results of this research are in the form of an application that utilizes the Qr Code as the main component in helping the attendance process for each teacher. Based on the statement above, the application of Qr Code technology to the attendance system for teachers and employees of Nurul Ibrohimi Tongas Vocational School with Android devices can speed up the attendance process, besides that it can record attendance accurately and quickly. In the results of system trials that have been completed and successfully created, the system will soon be implemented on smartphones Androids.
