Abstract
The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of the position of tax from an Islamic perspective and to find solutions to provide tax relief to the community during an economic recession from an Islamic perspective. This study was conducted with normative juridical with secondary data. Qualitative analysis was conducted. This study shows that the principle of Rukhshah can be used to reduce taxes from an Islamic perspective first. To help the community improve its economy, Rukhshah facilities are created. If the community's economy is well organized, the community will have more savings to increase its income through the formation of businesses. With the improvement of the economy and community income, state revenues from the tax sector will increase
