Abstract
DATING VIOLENCE IN TERMS OF SELF ESTEEM AND PEERS Nur Afifah University of Yudharta Pasuruan Violence in a relationship in the millennial era does not only affect married couples. Based on data from the Komnas Perempuan Annual Record in 2019, there were 406,178 cases of violence against women reported and handled during 2018 (up from the previous year of 348,466 cases). Violence in courtship also occurred among students, especially Yudharta Pasuruan University. Based on the results of preliminary research on 40 students there were 83% psychological violence, 7% physical violence and 10% sexual violence. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-esteem and peers on dating violence at Yudharta Pasuruan University. The data collection method uses a scale of violence in courtship, self-esteem and peers. Based on the results of data analysis using the two predictor regression analysis method, the F-reg value of 0.942 is smaller than the F-tab of 5% = 3.09. So it can be concluded that there is no influence between self-esteem and peers towards dating violence. Keywords: dating violence, self-esteem and peers
